We have been promising some friends of our that live by Stuttgart (Esslingen) to visit for some time. Finally we made it happen. The kids enjoyed their fosterchild and we all went to this area where you can find fossils in the shale. They let you do this for a price (and you can rent a pick and hammer to split apart the shale for a price too).
How fun! I sooo remember looking for fossils when I was young and what a thrill when you find one! What a great memory for the kids. You do such fun things with your children! You're awesome! I loved our long talk on the phone yesterday. It's sooo great to stay connected and you are wonderful to always keep in touch! I love you.

He just finished working on a belt loop in Cub Scouts for Geology. he learned all about the different types of rocks. Very Cool! So the trip went well...It sounds like it was lots of FUN!
