I am now beginning the project of pruning the rose bushes and all the other perrenials that need to be cut back. I still see so many unripe raspberries on the stalks that I hate to chop them down. I keep holding out they will ripen and I can have a few these last weeks of the fall.
Speaking of which, I love the fall colors and crunch leaves around. Here is a lovely bush in our backyard that has this incredibly color. I love the earthy smells too. Ahhhh. Fall.

I agree, it is sooo beautiful! I also love lambs ear (that you have planted in the foreground) when it blooms in the spring and has soft petals to the touch. I love fall, although it's been very-very cold here (in the 30's) with rain and intermittent snow. Brrr. I plan to winterize my garden this week, but the darn weather is NOT cooperating.

Posted by: Traci at October 13, 2008 07:01 PMTo me, there are few things better than the gorgeous colors and perfumes of Autumn!!
Posted by: Kari at October 13, 2008 09:36 PMI just LOVE fall too. Well.. all but the work!! We have Morning Glories that have the most beautiful purple flowers on them (they are a climbing vine) and it's such a shame to pull them all down. BUT if I don't they come back next year twice the size and take over everywhere and everything. OH... the colors of fall and the cooler weather makes me HAPPY! and SMILE!
